On June 20 at approximately 10:45 p.m. CT there was an injury crash within Williston city limits.
A 1994 GMC Sierra, driven by a 16-year-old male, Williston, ND, was traveling westbound on 54th St NW near 11th Ave E, pedestrian Alex Vasquez, was on the north side of the roadway. Vasquez was struck by the GMC, and then transported to CHI St. Alexius, Williston, ND. He was later flown to Sandford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. The driver of the GMC Sierra was uninjured.
At the time of the crash the road conditions were dry and it was cloudy, dark and not in a lighted area.
The agencies that responded to the injury crash were North Dakota Highway Patrol, Williston Police Department, Williams County Sheriff’s Office and Williston Fire and Ambulance.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
