Williams County Fatal Crash

On Friday, May 12 approximately 4:20 p.m. CDT there was a two-vehicle head on collision 25 miles east of Williston.

A 2008 Ford F350 was traveling westbound on Hwy. 1804 near mile marker 283 being driven by David Seiferd, a 49-year-old male, Williston, ND. A 2010 Toyota Highlander was traveling eastbound at the time of the crash. The Toyota was driven by Robert Ndahigwa, a 40-year-old male, Dickinson, ND, and had Ronald Nanan, a 57-year-old male passenger, Hedgesville, WV. The Ford failed to negotiate a slight curve in the road and crossed into the eastbound lanes. The Ford pickup struck the Toyota head on, causing both vehicles to spin and come to rest in the south ditch.

Robert Ndahigwa was pronounced deceased on scene. Ronald Nanan was transported via ambulance first to Tioga Medical Center and then to Trinity Health in Minot due to the injuries sustained. David Seiferd was transported to Tioga Medical Center via ambulance due to injuries sustained.

At the time of the crash, it was raining and the road conditions were wet.

The agencies that responded were North Dakota Highway Patrol, Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Tioga Ambulance and Tioga Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
