On April 8 at approximately 6:50 p.m. SCT on the 1200 block of Main St., Watford City there was a fatality crash.
A 2012 Toyota Tundra driven by Julian Castro Montoya, Watford City, was traveling in a parking lot of an apartment complex. The Toyota came around a section of garages and struck a 6-year-old juvenile male, Watford City, that was riding his bicycle in the area. The juvenile male was pronounced deceased on scene.
The agencies that responded to the crash were North Dakota Highway Patrol, Watford City Police Department, McKenzie County Sheriff's Office, Watford City Fire Department, McKenzie County Ambulance, and ND Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
