MonDak Ag Days & Trade Show March 2-3

The MonDak Ag Days and Trade Show is coming up on March 2 and 3 at the Richland County Event Center. Ag Days is a Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture event. There will be a tradeshow on Thursday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Friday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Richland County Event Center. Lunch will be offered both days and breakfast will be served at 7 a.m., Friday.

The banquet will be at the Elks, on Thursday, March 2 with a pre-social starting at 5 p.m. and prime rib will be served at 6 p.m. In past years it has been at the Richland County Event Center.

Jay Bodner will be the keynote speaker. This past September, Bodner was honored as an outstanding agricultural leader in Montana. He is Montana Department of Livestock Brands Enforcement Division, division administrator. Bodner impacts many people with his accomplishments in agriculture, and is a leader in our Montana agriculture community.

The Ag Days education schedule on Thursday starts at 10 a.m. with Drainage Tile Does and Dont’s by Jerry Weiland. At 11 a.m. will be Getting More Bang for your Fertilizer Buck by Doctor Clain Jones, MSU Extension. At 1 p.m. will be Prussic Acid and Nitrates in Forages by Marley Manoukian, MSU Extension. At 2 p.m. will be Updates to Medically Important Antibiotics by Gary Scheiber, High Plains Vet, and 3 p.m. will close the day with a Cattle Market Update by Katlin McCulloch, LMIC.

Friday, March 3 at 10 a.m. will be Input Costs and 2023 Projections by Ron Haugen, NDSU Exentsion. At 11 a.m. will be Value Added Agricultural Opportunities by Hailey Vine, FADC. Closing out the Summit will be Preemergent Herbicides and Modes of Action by Charlie Lim, NDSU Extension.
