Williston, ND - The public is invited to these upcoming events at Fort Buford and the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston. All events are free and open to the public. All times are Central time.
Sept. 5: Fort Buford Flag Lowering Ceremony and Site Closing, 5 p.m. Members of the 6th Infantry will lower the flag to observe the end of the summer season. Fort Buford closes for fall/winter.
Sept. 6: Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center begins fall/winter hours: Wed.-Sat., 9 a.m.-4 p.m .; Sunday, 1-5 p.m .; closed Monday-Tuesday.
Sept. 15: History Book Club, 7 p.m. Join other history buffs for a discussion of this month’s book, “The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon” by David Grann.
Sept. 17: Historical Sewing, Textiles and Projects, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston
Sept. 18: Historical Games, 2-5 p.m. at the Fort Buford barracks. Participate in games that may have been played at the fort long ago such as cribbage, cards, and checkers.
Sept. 25: Music at the Confluence, 2 p.m. Missouri Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston
