The Sunrise Women’s Clinic will be holding their second annual Walk for Life and first ever Conquer the Course on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Park.
Men, women, and kids will all be able to walk or run a 1K or 5K in support of the Sunrise Women’s Clinic. As a new addition to the fun, this year they will have an optional course. The Conquer the Course event is an individual or four-person team event. It is a 5K race with obstacles to add a little more to the challenge. Throughout the race, participants will have to be part of a hay bale toss, tire pull, and much more. There is no age limit to compete in either race and babysitters will be available at the park for little ones who will not be able to do it, yet.
Registration is now open. Those who want to participate can register at the clinic, online at the Sunrise Women’s Clinic Facebook page, or at the park on the day of the event. The entry fee is $30 per person, $100 for a family of four or more, and $150 for the team event. Registration includes a T-shirt.
The Women’s Clinic’s Walk for Life is a fundraiser to help cover the cost of their daily operations.
