Tavin Schneider Sustainable Oils agronomist discussed the potential of camelina in Montana and contracts that Sustainable Oils company offers to growers. Camelina is an oilseed crop, and the oil can be used to produce renewable diesel. Sustainable Oils has recently acquired a refinery in Bakersfield, CA, and they are looking to increase the acres of camelina grown in Montana.
