4th Of July Celebrations Across The Area

Sidney:

The 4th of July, our nation's Independence Day, is just around the corner. There are family-friendly events to attend in celebration all around the area.

The Sidney Jaycees are holding the 2022 Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks at the Richland County Fairgrounds. The events start at noon. There will be a car show, hot dog eating contest, carnival games, a dunk tank, a family photo booth, prizes, food, and craft vendors. Everyone will have a chance to create military care kits with non-perishable items, toiletries, and a letter of thanks to be sent overseas to active military as part of the Patriotism Project. Markers and other items to decorate the boxes will be available as well. Admission is free. The judging for the car show is people's choice and runs from noon–4 p.m. There is a $25 fee to enter a vehicle and all cars are welcome. There will be fireworks for the first time in years at dusk. Lambert:

In Lambert, the yearly 4th of July celebrations start July 3. At 6 p.m. a BBQ starts at Lion's Den with music by Vernon's DJ and Karaoke. It will continue all night outside CQ Bar and Grill. A dance with Josh Kehr starts at 9 p.m. on Main Street. On July 4 the Freedom Fun Run starts at 8 a.m. at the Sports Complex. At 9 a.m. the community church service starts in the public school's old gym. The parade will start at 11 p.m. up Main Street. After the parade, at noon the Fireman's BBQ will be held at the Fire Hall. At 1 p.m., a pie, coffee, and root beer float social will start at the senior center. There will be various games at the park, basketball court, old gym, and west of the sports complex. At 4:30 p.m. there will be a tailgate party for the Can-Am game at the Lambert Sports Complex. There will be burgers and hot dogs at the concessions stand. T-shirts for sale and other vendors in the Sports Complex parking lot. At 6 p.m. the 24th Annual 6-Man Can/Am All-Star Football Bowl will be held at the Lambert Sports Complex. This will be the first time the Can-Am Bowl will be held on United States soil. Admission will be $10 per person kids in kindergarten and younger free. Fireworks will start at dark.

Arnegard:

This year, Arnegard's 4th of July celebration starts early. Registration for Sherry's 5K Run/Walk starts north of Nelson Park. The 5K starts at 9 a.m. Check-in for the parade runs from 9 a.m.–10:45 a.m. at the Arnegard Rural Fire Department and starts at 11 a.m. There will be a BBQ by freewill donation at noon. At 1 p.m. there will be a military appreciation ceremony followed by games, a bounce house, and a dunk tank. The fireworks will be at 10:30 p.m. at the baseball diamond. The Arnegard Booster Club has been putting on the Arnegard 4th of July Celebrations for many years and this year they need help.
