Bismarck, ND – The State Historical Society of North Dakota and Divide County will join in celebrating the grand opening of Writing Rock State Historic Site playground on Saturday, June 11, at 12 p.m. The event will be outdoors and is free of charge.
The event includes opening statements by Director Bill Peterson and Historic Sites Manager Chris Dorfschmidt from the State Historical Society, and comments by Doug Graupe, former Divide County Commissioner and champion of the playground project. Activities include games that have been played throughout North Dakota’s history. Free root beer floats will be served.
