Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA) will be hosting their annual MidYear Meeting in Sidney, June 1-3 and invites Montana’s ranching community to attend.
The Montana Stockgrowers Association is a grassroots membership organization and is the trusted voice of cattle ranchers. With a 135 year history, MSGA advocates and ensures cattle ranching remains relevant, safe and a sustainable way of life for generations to come.
The MidYear Meeting is one of two meetings that is held to set association policy that guides the Association through the year. While the main focus of the meeting is for the setting of interim policy they also use the meeting as a networking opportunity for the MSGA membership. Ranchers and allied industry professionals gather together from across the state of Montana for two days filled with meetings, entertainment, education, and fun!
This year Sidney has been selected for the meeting.The 10th Annual MonDak Area Stockgrowers’ Association ‘Rockin’ Your Heart” Weekend this year is scheduled for June 3 and 4 at the Richland County Fair & Rodeo Event Center.
The Run For The Brand 5k/10/Walk/Run and the Team Penning on Saturday, June 4 will be postponed until early fall to allow members to attend the funeral for a fellow stockgrower.

Highlights of this year’s mid-year meeting include an industry update from NCBA’s CEO, Colin Woodall, mental health discussions from Stuart Ellis-Myers, and stories from Wally Badgett. MSGA members will also gather to vote on and set interim policy during the Beef Production & Marketing, Land Use & Environment, and Tax, Finance and Ag Policy committee meetings.
The 10th Anniversary Cattlemen’s Ball will culminate the event Friday night. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with the social hour and a beef dinner served by Rod Iron Grill, Sidney, at 6:30 p.m. Lots of live auction items are available to choose from with proceeds being donated to the area fire departments. A Planko Board will also be set up for all attendees to try their luck to win prizes.
Kick up your heels with live music by “Exit 53”starting at 8 p.m.
Tickets are available at Prewitt & Company, Stockman Bank, Rodiron Grill and Cattle-ac for $50. Must be 21 to attend.
