Local Girl Scout troop #2433 brought the trash that they had collected and stayed to help plant the trees that had been purchased by the city and donated by the Richland County Conservation Corporation. Lace Arvizu, Amelia Meier, and Rachel Stewart happily arrived early to Veteran's Memorial Park to set up a couple of the tables for the Earth Day Celebration. Ms. Meier has been trying to make this a reality since April 22, but various issues kept coming up. May 7 was finally the day.
