Agri Industries Inc. was built on the idea of expanding irrigation throughout the MonDak region, and it continues to live out that mission today.
It has three shops located throughout the MonDak region, including Sidney, Williston, and Miles City.
The company was founded by two brothers, Mike and Greg Ames in 1982 as an irrigation store focused on improving agriculture by building irrigation pivots, pipelines, and installing utility lines with its Directional Boring Division. Agri is also a home family business, with divisions such as electrical, heating and cooling (HVAC), plumbing, and the retail sales of all the parts needed.
The Sidney shop, located on S. Central Ave. has been open since 1988. It offers a full line of irrigation equipment including Valley pivots, gated pipe, and pumps to our farmers and ranchers. It also has electrical, plumbing, and HVAC services for homeowners and businesses.
"We build all of our own pivots; I feel that having this crew is a great advantage to us and our farmers to get their pivots back up and operating in a timely manner," said Robert Jasper Sidney - Agri Industries Inc. general manager.
As of April 2021, Jasper became the Sidney location's new manager.
Originally from Culbertson, Robert has been involved with agriculture his entire life and was previously working as a consultant in the oil field.
Before Jasper, Lee Candee was the general manager for over 25 years at the Sidney location.
Not much has changed since he has taken the position.
"Business here has always been structured really well. We have always been directed towards agriculture and that is the way I intend to keep it," he said. "We want to continue to provide service and sales to the area farmers."
Agri Industries hopes to continue providing great services to the area and helping sugar beet growers continue to have a successful growing season.
