Gifts From The Heart, Dec. 11, Saturday

Gifts from the Heart is set for Saturday Dec. 11, at Masonic Temple across from the Main St. courthouse from 7 a.m.-1 p.m.

There are a few things we implemented last year that served us well, so we are going to keep the numbering of the vehicles with one tweak. When you arrive at the Masonic Temple please come to the front door immediately to receive your number, instead of us coming to you. You will then return to your car, placing your number on your windshield, until you see your number on the board our callers will be carrying. Bring your number with you to the door to be allowed entrance and make sure to watch for your number so you are not overlooked!

We all thought COVID would be “gone” by now but since it is part of life at this point, we are requiring masks to participate in this program. There Are No Exceptions! In order to keep everyone safe, masks are a must. If you refuse, we will be unable to serve you. There will be masks and hand sanitizer available. If you have any symptoms of any illness, please be responsible and stay home out of consideration of others.

This non- profit program is for the community, from the community, back into the community. Thanks to many volunteers, donations, toy drops, food drives, mitten collections, fundraisers and generous donors, this one-day event provides a few hundred local children with Christmas gifts, plus warm winter gear and families a full Christmas dinner! Toy drops are located at all Edward Jones offices, Family Dollar, Anytime Fitness, Meraki Boutique, Rouge LLC, Pfiefer General Store in Sidney and Super Valu in Fairview. All local financial institutions are accepting mittens and gloves on our behalf. At the Christmas Stroll in front of Johnson’s Hardware, ABATE will be doing a toy drive and selling delicious chili along with homemade goodies! Same night across the street at Rouge LLC there will be hot cocoa for sale, with all proceeds going towards the family food bag contents. If you or your place of business wants to donate or volunteer, please contact Jakkie Waller at 406-480-9117. Monetary donations may be dropped off at Stockman Bank or by contacting Jakkie Waller as well.

Please respect the very few stipulations we have, No children allowed, only one parent per household to shop, children ages 0-18 must reside with shopper and shopper must be a Richland County resident.

If there are any questions, please contact Jakkie Waller. As always, we truly appreciate everyone involved to make this special program so successful! You are the reason we can continue with the tradition of serving our community! May you be blessed this holiday season!
