Sidney, MT - Richland Federal Credit Union (Richland FCU) is pleased to announce the hiring of Tim Fine as an Agricultural Loan Officer, effective Nov. 1, 2021. Tim will be joining the credit union’s experienced agricultural team alongside fellow loan officers Nancy Verschoot and Chris Gartner.
As an agricultural loan officer, Fine will work on developing and analyzing the financial needs of the credit union’s agriculture members including operating loans, term loans for equipment and livestock, and real estate loans.
“We are excited to add Tim to our team of professionals to serve the members of our credit union,” said Kevin Mayer, Richland FCU CEO. “Tim’s past employment as a county extension agent brings a wealth of knowledge in crop production and livestock. He is well-known and respected by our farmers and ranchers.”
Fine comes to Richland FCU from Montana State University where he served as an extension agent. His work with Richland Extension focused on agronomy, livestock and horticulture. Fine has been involved in many aspects of agriculture production throughout most of his life. As the new agricultural loan officer for Richland FCU, Fine will be combining his love for the agricultural industry with the credit union’s values.
“When I moved here, my objective was never to make the agricultural community adjust to what I wanted or needed, but rather to become a respected member of that community and a trusted resource,” said Fine. “There are plenty of forces working against our agricultural producers and it is important to me that I be involved as a resource working for them. This new position allows me to continue to help this vital group through the collaborative and trusted network created by Richland FCU.”
