Over the Moon Gala Launches Saturday, Culbertson

The Roosevelt Memorial Healthcare Foundation is a go-for-launch for this year’s version of the annual Fall Fest fundraiser. The Over the Moon Gala will take place on Oct. 9, at Dry Prairie Rural Water Authority, Culbertson.

This year’s theme is Over the Moon and it is going to be out of this world, literally! That’s because attendees will embark on a flight destined for the lunar surface to enjoy an evening among the stars.

The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will begin at 6:15 p.m.

The futuristic fundraiser will include hors d’oeuvres, smoked brisket, ribs and chicken with all the trimmings and the chance to win $1,000.

Other prizes include a Yogo Sapphire and diamond necklace, Traeger grill, artwork, gift cards, and tickets to area entertainment while taking part in raffles, and both a silent and live auction.

The evening will conclude with a Meteor Shower Raffle with glowing raffle tickets dropping from an aircraft flying overhead.

This year’s entertainment will include local community members such as Darcia Larsen, Ashlee Anderson, Elizabeth Hendrickson and Roosevelt Medical Center’s very own Lunar Ladies and Moon Men.

The Foundation will also announce its’ Spirit of Philanthropy Award recipients with a special presentation.

Tickets cost $50 and are available at the door. They can also be purchased at First Community Bank, the Wild West Diner and in the lobby at RMC.

Earthlings are welcomed and encouraged to dress formally but to include accessories like alien masks, glasses, or wigs, to name a few that represent their home planets and star systems. Of course, casual attire is perfectly acceptable too!

The Foundation will be raising money to support Roosevelt Medical Center, Culbertson, by replacing long-outdated commercial kitchen appliances. At the top of the needs list are a new stovetop, convection oven and steamer.

For tickets, call Jaimee Green at 406-787-6476, or email [email protected].
