Accommodation in the Workplace

The next presentation of Eastern Montana Business Webinars is scheduled for Thursday, September 23 at 10 a.m.

Jeanne Stone-Shedden, Montana Vocational Rehabilitation and Blind Services Counselor will present information on Accommodation in the Workplace.

Ms. Stone-Shedden will look at several common disabilities that are seen in the workplace due to aging or injury and discuss what is reasonable and how to have that conversation with an employee. She will also provide examples and resources that can be used by both employees and employers.

Jeanne Stone-Shedden started at Montana Vocational Rehabilitation and Blind Services in 2006 as Blind and Low Vision support staff while working on obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Phoenix. Jeanne was hired to be a Montana Vocational Rehabilitation and Blind Services counselor in 2011 for the Missoula office. She earned a Master’s in rehab counseling in 2014 from Western Virginia University. She has worked in Sanders County as well as the Missoula area. Jeanne works with the general VR clients as well as the deaf and hard of hearing population. She volunteered to be the initial counselor member of the business services team since December 2015 which is focused on providing support services for businesses from MVRBS.
