The newly formed “Running Free” organization is hosting its 2nd Annual Suicide Awareness Walk/Run event in Watford City on Saturday, Sept. 18. The race will start at 9 a.m. CDT at 313 Fox Hills Pkwy N, Watford City, (Stonehome Brewing Co. parking lot). The fee to participate is $30 and the Carl E. Rogen Post 29 will serve lunch following the race.
The organization is taking cash donations as well; if you are not interested in participating in the run/walk you can still show your support by making a cash donation online for suicide awareness. Unisex Suicide Awareness 2021 t-shirts for the walk/run event can be purchased online as well. Sidney is also hosting the Eastern Montana “Out of the Darkness Experience” Walk on Saturday, Sept. 18, at Veterans Memorial Park (formerly Central Park). Walker check-ins will start at 10:15 a.m. MDT, and the opening ceremony will start soon after that.
