Sidney Sunrise Festival Of The Arts Slated For June 12

The Sidney Sunrise Festival of the Arts is scheduled for Saturday, June 12 in downtown Sidney and will be held in conjunction with the Richland County Sportsmen’s Club’s Annual Car Show and the Shriner’s Parade.

The annual event is a vendor-style festival featuring artists, crafters, authors, homemade goods, direct sellers, and small businesses. The vendor portion of the event will be from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and a street dance for adults 21 and older will start at 7 p.m. and wrap up at 12 a.m.

The street dance will feature live music by Thistle and Lace and admission is $5, beer gardens will be available.

“We expect to have about 70 vendors. Our featured artist for this year’s festival is Sidney’s own Cole Fink and his woodworking company, Fink Furniture. Fink creates all sorts of custom woodwork pieces; however, we’ll be giving away a set of Fink Furniture corn hole boards to this year’s button grand prize winner,” said the Sidney Chamber of Commerce executive director Kali Godfrey.

In addition to this, there will be seven food vendors and food trucks at the event spanning from barbeque to Asian cuisine to ice cream.

The festival will be filled with tons of local talent including the Cutting Edge Dance Studio, Annika Bennion and the Bennion Family band, Laura and the Soo Valley Boys, Felix Becker, Larry Riggs and Leslie Bieber, and the Sidney High School Rock Band.

Sunrise Festival of the Arts Buttons will go on sale soon for $3 until the day of the festival where they go to $4. When a button is purchased, you will be put in a drawing for several prizes.

More information on the event can be found on the Sidney Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
