The purpose of the Child Find/Preschool-screening Program is to identify those children who may need educational, medical or other types of assistance for problems or handicaps that may not have been detected. School special services personnel will be conducting the screening assisted by an audiologist and the Richland County Health Department. Hearing, vision, speech/language, motor skills, and cognitive development will be among the areas checked.
The child find/preschool screening program will be, 2:30-7:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22 and Tuesday, Feb. 23, and 2:30-7:30 p.m., Monday, March 1 and Tuesday, March 2, at Central School. To have your child included in the screening, appointments are necessary and will be taken by calling Middle School, 433-4050, Mon.-Thurs., 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
You are encouraged to bring your child even if they attended last year. The screening is provided at no cost as a public service of the Sidney Public Schools.
