Liz Garcia, is spearheading a basketball tournament for 4th-6th graders in Watford City at the Rough Rider Center on Jan. 9 - 10. There will be 43 teams coming to Watford City.
This is a good way to better support our community during difficult times and demonstrates how influential one person can be to deliver economic impact to our community.
To support Liz, the community leaders came together to help with, tourism - blocking hotel rooms and providing communications welcoming traveling teams with helpful information. The chamber of commerce is helping drive traffic to local businesses, the Rough Rider Center recreation team consulted with Liz on tournament brackets and logistics to ensure she has a successful tournament.
Overall, this is a great, fun event to begin the year and get our local businesses and our hospitality industry off to a great 2021 start.
