Debbi Hatter Benefit Sept. 26 Golf Tournament, Dinner, Auctions

Debbi is the daughter of Dave and Crystal Hatter. She was born in Sidney in 1979 and was raised in the Squaw Gap area on Bennie Pierre Road, McKenzie County. Growing up on the ranch taught Debbi to be one tough cookie, especially growing up with two older brothers! Debbi graduated from Sidney Senior High School in 1997 and attended college in Bottineau, ND, earning four degrees in horticulture. She continues to have a passion for plants and flowers, working in the floral department along with working as a cashier at Reynolds Market. Her greatest loves are her two sons; Dalton, 17 and Gage, 15.

Debbi was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma on June 4, 2020. She will undergo a double mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy. She will also continue with future testing and monitoring of the tumors before removal. She will need further surgeries and possibly chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, Debbi's physicians have advised her not to return to work to avoid contact exposure. This has halted her income with her employer, Reynolds Market. She needs help to support her family and pay her bills during these lengthy procedures.

On Saturday, Sept. 26 there will be a "Wanna Be An Elk" – 4-person scramble golf tournament at Sidney Country Club. There will be a maximum of 28 teams that can play. Registration will be from 9-10:30 a.m. with tee off time at 11 a.m. Registration forms can be picked up at Sidney Elks Lodge and the price is $50 per golfer (does not include cart). After the golf tournament there will be a free will offering brisket and pulled pork dinner at the Sidney Elks Lodge starting at 5 p.m. followed by a silent and live auction at approximately 7 p.m. Proceeds from the golf tournament along with the dinner and auctions will go to Debbi Hatter to help with expenses.
