Rosalia Skaar, 92, Sidney, MT

Private family services for Rosalia Skaar, 92 of Sidney will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at the Fulkersons Memorial Chapel in Sidney with Pastor Tim Tharp officiating. Interment will be in Richland Memorial Park in Sidney, MT under the care of the Fulkerson-Stevenson Funeral Home of Sidney. Rosalia passed away on Saturday August 8, 2020 at Edgewood in Helena, MT.

Rosalia was born on February 19, 1928 to Minnie and John Unger of Poplar, Montana. She was the third of six children. She attended country school and graduated from Savage High School, Savage, Montana in 1945. In September of 1948, she moved with her parents to Pablo, Montana.

She married Sigvald Skaar of Skaar, ND on June 24, 1949 at Pablo, MT. They made their home on their ranch at Skaar until Sig passed away in November of 1986. To this union were born four children. Edward A Skaar (Tara), David B Skaar, Marilyn Mohr (Greg) and Eleanor Franklin (John). Rosalia is survived by her son, Edward and daughters Marilyn and Eleanor. She has six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Preceding her in death, her husband Sigvald Skaar, her parents, her son David Skaar, her infant grandson and her three brothers and two sisters.

Rosalia was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Skaar, ND. She enjoyed her family, flowers, crossword puzzles, embroidery and reading. She passed away on August 8, 2020 in Helena, MT.

A private service will be held due to the COVID virus and burial at Richland Cemetery.
