McKenzie Electric Cooperative, INC Postpones July 21 Annual Meeting To 2021 Amid Coronovirus Increase

Watford City, ND - The McKenzie Electric Cooperative (MEC) Board of Directors has postponed the annual member meeting previously scheduled to take place on July 21, 2020 to 2021 due to the increase in coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in western North Dakota.

The meeting will now take place in 2021 and the specific date and details will be shared with the membership as soon as possible.

Due to events out of MEC’s control, and pursuant to MEC bylaws, state law and executive order of the Governor of North Dakota, Doug Burgum, the MEC Board of Directors took this unprecedented action for the safety of its membership. MEC’s main concern and priority is the health and safety of the membership, which was the driving factor in this decision.

MEC apologizes for the late notice regarding the postponement. The Cooperative is extremely grateful for the understanding and flexibility of the membership during this challenging time and looks forward to the 2021 annual meeting, which is already being planned. Details regarding the 2021 annual meeting will be shared with the membership soon.
