While the county fair is a long-awaited summertime event, this year, the McKenzie County Fair Board decided that it is in everybody’s best interest to cancel this year’s 2020 McKenzie County Fair.
The fair board met via conference on Monday, May 4, to discuss the McKenzie County Fair, and they concluded that the fair, which was initially scheduled for July 17-20, would be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The board expressed that it was a tough decision. There will be further discussion about the possibility of holding a rodeo and Demolition Derby at a later date-which will be dependent on how things progress with the COVID-19 situation in McKenzie County.
