During the coronavirus pandemic, Red Rock dealerships are making customer health and safety a top priority.
In an effort to combat the virus, Red Rock dealerships are using Dead Zone Ozone Disinfectants to sanitize vehicles. Currently, there is at least one ozone disinfectant machine at each Red Rock dealership location, which includes Red Rock Auto in Watford City and Red Rock Ford in Williston and Dickinson, North Dakota.
As soon as the coronavirus pandemic broke out, Adam Nelson, Red Rock Auto's Dealer Principal and General Manager, immediately purchased ozone disinfectant machines to use at Red Rock Dealership locations. "Before we received the ozone disinfectants, we were using regular disinfectants to sanitize inside vehicles - which are effective to a degree. But with regular disinfectants, it is difficult to sanitize every area inside the vehicle - so we wanted to go a step further and purchase these ozone disinfectants.
Customers are our top priority and we want to ensure that they are safe. So we are offering ozone disinfectant services to customers who are concerned with their vehicle. They can come in and have a cup of coffee while we disinfect the entire inside of their vehicle," said Stephen Stephenson, who is the Parts and Service Director at all three Red Rock dealership locations.
Red Rock is also offering free ozone disinfectant services for emergency response vehicles, including law enforcement, fire, and ambulance vehicles. "We hope by providing this service free of charge to law enforcement and emergency responders - that it will promote community safety and help prevent coronavirus spread," explained Stephenson.
People can easily contract the coronavirus by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their mouth, nose, or possibly eyes. So it is crucial to disinfect areas that you frequently come into contact with - which includes your vehicle.
The ozone disinfectant is a very powerful disinfectant that has proven to be substantially more effective than regular disinfectants.
Ozone is an unstable gas that readily degrades to diatomic oxygen with the formation of free oxygen atoms. The free oxygen atoms have the ability to oxidize almost anything - including viruses, bacteria, and organic/inorganic compounds. An oxygen molecule that ozone generates interacts with microbes (including viruses) in a way that destroys them. This makes ozone an extremely powerful disinfectant and oxidizer; it only takes about 15 minutes to sanitize the entire interior of a vehicle. "These machines not only take out all of the germs in a vehicle; they also rid a vehicle of odor. They are quite remarkable," stated Stephenson.
Ozone disinfectants are a much more effective oxidizer compared to other common disinfectants such as hypochlorite and chlorine. In contrast to regular disinfectants, ozone disinfectant does not produce any harmful residues, which also makes it eco-friendly.
