Roger and Don Byer added another badly needed car wash to Sidney with Hermans Car Wash at 402 N. Central, in the Shops at Fox Run. The wash features three automatic bays and is open 24 hours a day.

Meraki Boutique and Emersyn Lane opened up May 15 at 314 S. Central in Sidney. Billie Hillesland and Larysa Hurst, owners, started doing pop-ups and events in 2016 and in May opened their store. Meraki Boutique carries womens sizes small-3x, accessories and shoes. Upstairs is Emersyn Lane which carries infants to size 8. Emersyn is named after Larysas 1 year old daughter. Mucho Si Mexican restaurant, run by the Guillen Molina family, relocated to 202 East Main Street (old KFC building, formerly Simply Scrumptious) providing the same menu, hours and friendly and speedy service.

The Merge in Sidney relocated to 1055 S. Central (next to The Rush) in Sidney this year.

The Painted Owl Bakery is now open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Village Square Mall, corner of East Main and 2nd Ave. NE, Sidney. The Simply Scrumptious Bakery has relocated to 110 N. Central Ave. (in the front of the Magic Mirror building) in Sidney. Michaela White, owner, will run the store and be open Tuesday-Saturday, 6 a.m. – 12 p.m. Coffee, scones, muffins, cookies and caramel rolls will be available. Sidney Auto Parts purchased the existing NAPA store in Sidney and moved it into its expanded facility on October 28, 2019. In addition to adding a significant number of auto parts, the store also carries a full line of truck parts. In April 2019, owner Kelly Alvstad opened Bittersweet Hideout and Coffee Shack in Peifer's General Store. As the name implies, it's a fantastic spot to get a great cup of coffee or tea and just relax in quiet, welcoming surroundings. On September 28, 2019, Interstate Engineering relocated to 2177 Lincoln Avenue Southeast.
