New Year's Eve Dance for High School Students

The Fairview Community Foundation will host its second annual New Year’s Eve Dance for all area high school kids at the Richland County Event Center on Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. Kids from Lambert, Savage, Richey, Culbertson, Watford City, Alexander, Arnegard, Bainville, Glendive, Froid, Medicine Lake, Sidney, Fairview and beyond are all welcome.

The event is free with music by DJ Nick Kallem, food, and games. This is not a lock-down event but chaperones will be on site. Come as you are or dress up in your New Year’s Eve finest if you wish.

Dodgeball and Cornhole tournaments are on the agenda. Form a team or join up when you get there. Teams are encouraged to dress up (maybe like the movie).

Call Melanie Hurley at 406-480-0184 or email [email protected] to pre-register your team.

The dance provides a safe environment where kids from the area can connect with other communities and have fun. “We’re doing this to help area kids bond and bring the communities together,” organizer Laurie Schlothauer explained.

For the safety of the students, particularly those who come from a distance, and so that families have a place to be during the dance, a block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express in Sidney for $75 per night. Mention Fairview Community Foundation when you call.
