Last week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced a new sign-up period for the popular Conservation Reserve Program. The sign-up began Dec. 9 and will remain open through Feb. 28.
The continuous signup runs from Dec. 9 and is ongoing.
Game and Fish private land biologists are currently analyzing the new components of the sign-up, and will be able to help producers through the signup process as information becomes available. Biologists can also explain how additional incentives from Game and Fish programs can add to the bottom line of acres accepted or renewed into CRP. More specific information will be available after the first of the year.
Producers in southwestern North Dakota may also be interested in knowing that the signup for the ongoing Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program is open again. More information is available on the CREP page on the Game and Fish website at gf.nd.gov.
