Wild West Fall Fest Set For October 5, Culbertson

While you might not run into any outlaws, train robbers or cattle rustlers at this year’s 5th annual Wild West Fall Fest fundraiser, you can bet you’ll be in the company of some of the community’s most charitable and giving community folks.

This year’s annual event is being hosted by the Roosevelt Memorial Healthcare Foundation and is taking place October 5 at the Culbertson Saddle Club, in Culbertson. The doors open at 6 p.m.

Attendees will have a chance at winning as much as $1,000 in cash as well as a number of other prizes including an original painting donated by Duane Larsen, of Froid. A pie-to-go live-auction will also be taking place with Darrell Synan, a RMHF board member who is also serving as the auctioneer. Attendees might also catch Gold Fever if they chose to participate in the Pan for Gold raffle where they will have a chance at winning $500 cash.

This year, all of the funds raised will be used toward the purchase of a new fire panel and a fully integrated patient room call-light system for Roosevelt Medical Center. Currently, both are built on aging technology. Replacement parts are becoming obsolete and newer equipment cannot be integrated into the old systems.

Ashlee and the Advocates will be headlining as the evening entertainment.

The meal will include burgers, fries, onion rings and all the fixings. Domestic beers and wine will be available as well as pop and other refreshments.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in casual western duds.

Tickets are $50 and are available at First Community Bank, the lobby of RMC and through any board member. They will also be available at the door during the event.

Board members include Ian Walker, Darrell Synan, Sharon Schmitz, Steve Baldwin, Kim Knick, Jenell Martin and Pam Arneson.
