Stacey Indergard, RN, CPCP wants to make people feel good and look good. Having had permanent makeup done herself seven years ago by an RN in Billings, Indergard knows the convenience and great, natural looks it can provide.
Indergard completed her training at Simply Body Art Studio in Phoenix where she studied aesthetic technique and color theory. At the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals convention in Las Vegas in April, she passed a rigorous exam to become a Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional or CPCP, which holds her to a higher standard. She is really excited about continuing her training at convention in California in September where she will bring her own machines and learn the latest techniques in the industry.
"I did this because I love my own permanent makeup," Indergard explained. "And I love being a nurse, mostly in the ER in Sidney and Williston for the past 16 years. I wanted to add this on because it's enjoyable helping people look better and feel better."
Her goal is to create a natural look for her clients in a relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere. She conducts a thorough consultation with her clients before hand, including medical issues, goals and what they wish their end result to be. She encourages them to bring pictures of what they wish to accomplish, then goes over the procedures thoroughly. She uses lidocaine cream to numb the area and is hoping, as an RN, to be able to do lidocaine injections in the future.
Because it is said that eyebrows are the most important feature on the face. Indergard does meticulous brow mapping to help frame her client's for a younger look. Brows can be done with hand microblading or by machine strokes with fill in. She also does blended lip liner and does upper and lower eyeliner, which can be any design from a natural look to dramatic. She can also do scalp fill in to give the illusion of a fuller head of hair. Permanent makeup also has medical benefits such as scar camouflage and helping cancer patients look more normal after procedures. She stressed that permanent makeup is for both men and women.
As an RN, Indergard was already well versed in aseptic technique. Anything that touches the client, including all needles, are sterile and single use. She uses the best products for each procedure and only the newest machines on the market. The permanent makeup will last for many years. Like a tattoo, refreshers will be needed with the frequency depending on colors chosen by the client and the activities they participate in.
Stacey has been married to Kelly for 25 years and they have one son Seth who is a senior at MSU Bozeman.
