Active Parenting First Five Years Class Available

Carrie Krug, Sidney, MT - MSU extension Richland County, District II Alcohol and Drug Program, and Parenting Montana are offering Active Parenting Classes. Whether you’re a first-time parent or juggling a household, the first five years of your child’s life are extremely important. Active Parenting is a program created by Dr. Michael Popkin who is a parenting expert. The First Five Years program is a four-session class designed to help parents learn about a variety of items such as ages and stages of development, effective discipline that young children can understand, school readiness and much more. Classes start Tuesday, September 10 at the MSU Richland County Extension Office, 1499 N. Central Ave., Sidney, from 6-8 p.m. and are free of charge. Class size is limited; please RSVP by noon on September 6, by calling the MSU/Richland County Extension office at 433-1206.
