Local author, Jaymi Mozeak, will be presenting a copy of her novel, Demon Warrior, to the Sidney/Richland County Library Saturday, June 29 at 1 p.m. Demon Warrior is the first book in her Hounds of Heaven Saga series. After presenting the book to the library for their general collection she will remain in the library until 2 p.m. to sign her novel, have a short discussion on self-worth and discuss future plans for her series.
As a teenager, Jaymi received a series of visions as an answer to prayer. Those visions helped her through a very difficult time in her life and helped her as she struggled through her period of abuse and low self-worth. She saw how the story within the visions could continue to help others through hard times in their lives. The novels of the Hounds of Heaven Series are based on her visions.
Mozeak’s novel, Demon Warrior, is about a creature named Silver Fox, who experiences negativity and rejection from the society she is living in. Throughout the story, though, another creature called Shepherd loves her. He wants her around and has a plan, just for her. Demon Warrior is a Christian Fantasy novel packed with action and excitement. With this unique book the author hopes to reach out to those who are bored by the average Christian novel or maybe don’t fit in the typical Christian category and those, like herself who’ve been lied to about their worth. She wishes to remind them that even those who are not typical Christ followers are useful too and loved by God. Jaymi originally wrote the book for young adults but found certain older readers to enjoy reading it as well.
Demon Warrior is Jaymi Mozeak’s first novel, although, several future novels are planned in the series. Learn more about the author and read a few of her short stories at [email protected].
