Fairview Alliance Church will donate all proceeds from their 10th annual Blessing Sale to the family of Pastor Paul Sponheim. A Fairview native who has pastored the Richey Alliance Church for the last nine years, Paul is currently undergoing treatment for a recurrence of non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He is receiving treatment at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, which includes chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. Though this is a long and sensitive process that requires a lengthy stay in Rochester, Paul and his family are encouraged by the doctors' optimism for a positive outcome.
In keeping with their tradition, the Fairview Alliance Church will offer a huge variety of un-priced used goods at the rummage sale, as well as freshly baked goodies for purchase. All donations will go directly to the Sponheim family to help cover their expenses, and to show the community's support for one of our own. The date corresponds with Fairview's community garage sale day.
The sale will be held indoors so, rain or shine, drop by Saturday, June 15 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Fairview Alliance Church, 702 Western Avenue, across from Fairview High School. Get a blessing by finding items you can use. Give a blessing by donating whatever you wish to the Sponheim family. Be a blessing just by being involved!
Community members can also contribute sale items in good condition by dropping them off at the church no later than Wednesday, June 12. Please note that the church can no longer accept used televisions and computer monitors. If needed, pick-up is available by calling 406-742-5425.
