Dennis Moore, co-owner of 1035 Brewery and Tap Room in Sidney, said it has been a dream of his to be part of the Bakken Brew Fest.
That dream will come true during the eighth annual Bakken Brew Fest at the Richland County Event Center from 7-10 p.m. on April 20.
Moore and his wife, Ruth, opened 1035 Brewery three and a half months ago at their former Video Hot Spot location. They currently have nine types of beers on tap.
"I've home brewed for the last six years, it's always been a dream of mine," Dennis said. "When the video business went down, we wanted to do something with the business."
The selections that 1035 Brewery will provide at the Bakken Brew Fest will include a Keeper Stout, a Honey Rye and a Red Ale.
"The stout is because I like stouts, and it's a good beer," Dennis said.
He said the other two are a little more unique and have been received very well by customers.
"We're looking forward to introducing our products to new people and visiting with people," Moore said. "Brew Fest is something I've wanted to do since I was home brewing."
He added that his wife, Ruth, and their grown son, Brandon, are all looking forward to being in attendance at Brew Fest.
As far as his business, Dennis said they are going to add more summer type flavors as the weather warms up. "And a couple will always change."
He added, "We are unique probably because of our size, we're extremely small. Other than that, we have a nice variety."
Dennis noted he has attended Bakken Brew Fest before as a participant but not as a vendor.
"I was excited to go out and try the new beers," he said. "That's something neat about Brew Fests."
This year's tasting event will feature more than 20 breweries and more than 40 microbrews, wines and ciders from Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming and beyond.
Along with the fine selection of beer, participants also enjoy excellent food catered by Meadowlark Public House and Pizza House. General admission tickets are available for $50 or get in early with a VIP ticket for $75. Sidney Shuttle ride vouchers sponsored by Seitz Insurance and free end-of-night growler fills complete the experience.
