In just a couple short weeks, Sidney Montana will have had an O'Reilly Auto Parts Store for an entire year. They opened their doors on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, with only three full-time team members and one part-time member. Now, there are three full-time team members, the manager Nick Ludwig and a fulltime driver. Nick said the amount of team members fluctuates from time to time and they did not need to hire anyone for the Christmas season.
I asked Nick how he felt the store was doing and he said, "It is doing very good." They had been exceeding their monthly goals for sales all year long. He feels it is because of their excellent location. Between sitting at the intersection of two major streets, one of them being a state highway, people can easily see their sign. Nick personally likes Sidney. He is originally from a small town and he said, "It's not busy like a big city. It's got that small town, friendly, atmosphere." The store is still at 1051 S. Central Ave. by Video Hot Spot and the Rush and, as far as Nick knows, they are not planning to change anything about it anytime soon. He said that if anything does change it will be the planogram, which is the location of items in the store.
According to their corporate website, corporate.oreillyauto.com, O'Reilly's started out as a single store in Springfield Missouri in 1957. They have since grown to 5,190 stores in 47 states with over 80,000 team members nationwide.
