The Richland County Health Department will hold a reception to celebrate the achievement of PHAB National Public Health Accreditation on Thursday, December 20.
The national accreditation program works to improve and protect the health of the public by advancing and ultimately transforming the quality and performance of the nation’s state, local, Tribal, and territorial public health departments. The Richland County Health Department is one of fewer than 200 health departments that have thus far achieved accreditation through PHAB since the organization launched in 2011. The Richland County Health Department joins Missoula, Gallatin, Lewis and Clark, Cascade, Yellowstone and Flathead Counties in becoming accredited.
The reception will be held at the Community Services Building, located at 1201 West Holly, in Sidney. A ribbon cutting by the Sidney Chamber of Commerce will mark the beginning of the Department’s accredited period, and will take place at 1:30 p.m.
The public is invited to celebrate this achievement with refreshments from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 20.
