(Glendive, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will host Dinocember, a series of dinosaur themed programs, at Makoshika State Park in December. Join us at the park and expand your dinosaur knowledge during Dinocember. Each program will include a presentation on a different dinosaur subject followed by an opportunity to meet real fossils, make dinosaur crafts, and win fun prizes. Participants may also pick up a Dinosaur Ranger workbook and complete it to earn an official Dinosaur Ranger patch.
Dinocember Event Schedule:
Saturday, December 22, 2 p.m. – “Weird Dinosaurs”
Saturday, December 29, 2 p.m. – “Growing up Dinosaur”
Sunday, December 30, 2 p.m. – “Birds are Dinosaurs?!”
All programs begin at 2 p.m. and will take place at the visitor center. These presentations are geared towards children 5 to 10 years old, but all ages are welcome. For more information, contact the Makoshika State Park Visitor Center at 406-377-6256.
