The Team travelled to Hardin competing against 13 schools with 250 competitors. The Speech/Debate Team placed 4th and The Drama Team tied for 2nd but ultimately placed 3rd due to lack of mimes. For the first time in years everyone on the team made it up on stage to receive a certificate or medal. The Drama Team success was led by sophomores Isaac Quiroz and Noah Kyhl who took 1st in Classical Theatre with Daniel Schneider and Shoua Vang placing 4th in the same category. Freshman Kodi Schultz left her mark in Humorous Solo placing 2nd. Dramatic Soloists Autumn Davidson placed 2nd, Josie Yockim 3rd, & Kyla Carlson 5th. Senior Humorous Duo Tyler Berka and Josh Delaney placed 5th. The Speech/ Debate Team held their own against some tough competition with Juniors Shea Roberts and Christine Turek placing 2nd and 3rd in Memorized Public Address. Competing for her first time this season Freshman Abby Kyhl placed 6th in Original Oratory. Proving that they can make a fantastic short speech in Impromptu Shanyn Reidle placed 4th and Lexy Obergfell placed 6th. Sophmores Jazmine Hernadez and Brandon Smith placed 4th in Public Forum Debate. In Lincoln Douglas Debate, Yarenci Gonzalez placed 4th and Lorraine Coronato 5th. Our team may be small but we are MIGHTY!
