Sidney, MT – MSU Extension Richland County and District II Alcohol and Drug Program is offering Active Parenting Classes. Whether you’re a first-time parent or juggling a household, the first five years of your child’s life are extremely important. Active Parenting is a program created by Dr. Michael Popkin who is a parenting expert. The First Five Years program is a four-session class designed to help parents learn about a variety of items such as ages and stages of development, effective discipline that young children can understand, school readiness, and much more. Classes start Monday September 10 at Sidney-Richland County Library from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and are free of charge. Class size is limited please RSVP by noon on September 7, by calling the MSU/Richland County Extension office at 433-1206.
