Tug-of-War, Street Dance, and Much More During Fairview's Old Timer's Reunion & Summer Festival

Committee members have a full weekend of fun planned for everyone during Fairview's 72nd annual Old Timer's Reunion and Summer Festival July 20 – 22.

Start the weekend off with a free musical slide show, "Looking Back at Old Timers" at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church. Included are photos of each button from 1956 to 2017 plus photographs of parades and events. Enjoy Hamburgers in the Park during Registration of Old Timers from 5 to 7 p.m.

Saturday, July 21 starts with the first annual 5K run/walk at 7 a.m. Call Bert Olson at 406-480-6162 to register. From 7 to 10 a.m., enjoy a free will pancake and sausage breakfast at the fire hall, and take a tour while you're there. Registration of Old Timers takes place from 9:30 a.m. to noon, with the classic car show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the north end of the park. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. check out the "Fairview Historical Display" by the MonDak Heritage Center in the north side dining room of the Hotel Albert.

Line-up for the Kiddie Parade is at 11 a.m. at MonDak Clinic with the parade starting at 11:30. The free lunch, with your button, starts at 11:30 a.m.

Grand Parade participants start lining up at noon on Interstate Avenue, with the parade beginning at 1 p.m. The program in the park, and beef auction takes place at 2:15 p.m. Inflatables for kids will be set up by the Fairview Community Foundation from 2 to 6 p.m.

From 3 to 5 p.m., help Zion Lutheran Church celebrate its 100th Anniversary with an Open House and Ice Cream Social at the church.

New this year is the Tug-of War competition. Registration is $25 and teams can preregister by calling Lyle Carlson at 406-480-5815. Explore America will hold their annual Duck Race at the canal at 4 p.m.

A Free Concert will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the park. Don't forget to sign up for free cash; drawings will be held at 6 p.m.

The 2nd annual town photo Ellery Ave, will take place at the Waterhole #3 at 8 p.m. with Judd Burman Photography.

Dance the night away to the sounds of Valley Cash on Ellery Avenue from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Entrance to Fort Buford is free on Saturday with your Old Timer's button, courtesy of the Fairview Chamber of Commerce.

Wrap up the weekend with church in the park at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
