Williston's Cooks On Main Receives National Award

Cooks on Main, located in Downtown Williston, has recently been named a 2018 distinguished "All Star" retailer by Gourmet Insider Magazine. Cooks on Main owner Angela Skogen was notified in April of the award and is currently featured in the July/August issue along with 2 other distinguished winners. Gourmet Insider is the leading trade magazine in the houseware industry. Executive Managing Editor Emily Cappiello said, "These retailers are not just stimulating change and growth in our industry in the present, but all of them are also helping to push the independent gourmet segment into the future."

Cooks on Main was nominated by another industry leader. Through the selection process, Gourmet Insider selected the business for this award based on Skogen's continued investment into the future of the store with a recent remodel, innovative ideas, partnership within the industry, and her successful business model for Cooks on Main.

Cappiello came to Williston in May to interview Skogen for the magazine.

Skogen opened Cooks on Main in 2010 upon returning to Williston after working for Target in the corporate office in Minneapolis. Her dream was to open a store in her hometown that has become the culinary cornerstone for the everyday chef.
