The July 4 activities will start out with a 5K-Colored Spud Run. Registration for this run starts at 8 a.m. with the 5K run starting at 9 a.m. Registration fees for the 5K run are $20 for adults, $10 for kids and $50 for a family pack.
July 4th festivities will continue on with a parade at 11 a.m. down Main Street, turning at 1st Street and following around Railroad Avenue and back up Main Street. All are welcome to join in the parade or set up along the route to view.
Around noon the BBQ beef lunch sponsored by the Samuelson Family will begin in Nelson Park in Arnegard and run until the food is gone or everyone is fed. The lunch is a good-will donation and will include beef BBQ sandwiches, baked beans, pickles, ice cream, and beverages. The Arnegard Lions volunteer their time to serve the lunch and they also provide a tractor pull.
At 1 p.m., there will be a dance performance by “Let’s Dance Studio,” and the registration starts for the Cornhole Tournament. Registration fee for the Cornhole Tournament is $10 per team and you must 15 or older to participate. The tournament begins at 2 p.m.
After the Cornhole Tournament, a Tractor Pull will start at 3 p.m.
Vendors selling wares, raffles and activities will be going on all day.
The fireworks will be at 11p.m. at the Baseball Park (a change from previous years where the fireworks were set off by Frontage RD in Arnegard).
