Bakken Conference And Expo

The Bakken Conference and Expo will be held Monday, July 16-Wednesday, July 18 at the Rough Rider Center in Watford City. The event will focus on oil and gas production in the Williston Basin and the various investment strategies and innovations that will be useful in the industry in coming months and years.

The conference and expo will feature industry regulators, company CEOs, completion engineers and other petroleum professionals that will lend their expertise and ideas to those with interests in the oilfield. Focused upon telling powerful stories, providing intel, and giving opportunities for oil professionals to network together, the event will host over 80 petroleum companies offering exhibitions, reveal new products and helpful inventions, and showcase the type of services offered.

The event will be hosted by North American Shale Magazine, which is the first petroleum-related Bakken-specific publication, which presents regular journalistic updates and stories on shale production on the continent.

In particular, North American Shale Magazine believes the conference will be helpful to operators, investors, drilling companies, fund managers, completions service providers, hydraulic fracturing technology providers, directional drilling companies, rail providers, consultants, engineers and infrastructure investors and lenders.

Opening remarks will be by North American Shale Magazine editor, Luke Geiver, and then keynote speakers will take to the podium for a range of topics. For example, Jeff Kumer, the CEO of McKenzie Minerals Management, will speak on the transition of the single pad methodology in the Bakken to more modern strategies in a talk entitled, “The Evolution of the Bakken.” Aron Deen, the Director of Business Management for Ulterra, will explain how his company expanded even in a downturn economy. Kelly Armstrong, the Republican candidate in North Dakota for the U.S. House of Representatives, will be offering his vision for increased growth and production in the Williston Basin. Many other speakers are also slated in the schedule.

Registration for the event is free for operating producers, active drilling companies, and completion companies. For others, registration is $745 for the full conference, which includes food and refreshments. Government employees may receive a one hundred dollar discount and students are $300. If you desire to have an exhibit at the event, the registration fee is $495. Single day registrations are also available for a reduced rate.
