House Party on April 22nd in Sidney
We just loaded our Northern Lite camper onto the truck. And I'm so excited to take it on the road for my Opportunity Tour: a 1,044 mile, week-long loop around Montana, starting in Opportunity, up to Browning, over to Plentywood, and then down to Miles City.
I'll be in Sidney for a house party on Sunday, April 22nd, at 222 2nd St SW, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. I hope you will join me.
I'm launching the Opportunity Tour because rural Montana faces unique challenges. While cities like Bozeman grow, our small towns struggle. This November, we need to elect to Congress a woman who will deal comprehensively with the issues facing rural Montana. We need to support our farmers, ranchers, and their communities.
In Congress, I will oppose reckless trade wars that harm Montana's agricultural economy. I will support free, fair, and consistent trade policies that open the world to Montana's best-in-class products. I will fight for a Farm Bill that works for Montana, one that protects key safety nets, conservation and rural development programs. I will make sure Congress is committed to building rural broadband and fueling economic diversity across Montana. I will fight for consistent federal funding for health care services and facilities that make sense in rural Montana, services that create jobs and keep us healthy. And I will make sure that our seniors can retire with dignity by protecting Medicare and Social Security no matter what.
Making sure everyone in Montana has quality, affordable healthcare is personal for me. When I was eleven, my mother was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. My father and I were her caregivers until she passed away. I know what a medical crisis can do to a family; nobody should have to deal with that alone.
I also know that I don't have all the answers. The challenges and opportunities in Choteau are different from those in Scobey. But as a candidate for Montana's lone seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, I want to hear from communities all across Montana, and learn about all opportunities we have to strengthen Montana's economy and communities in 2018 and beyond.
I hope you will share with me your hopes, struggles, and dreams on our Montana Opportunity Tour. Together we can create a Montana that has good jobs, good wages, good health care, and equal opportunity across this great state.

Watch for our truck on the road -- we'll give you in a Montana wave -- and join us as we work for better representation in Congress.
