MSU Extension Richland County and District II Alcohol and Drug Program are offering Active Parenting Classes. Whether you’re a first-time parent or juggling a household, the first five years of your child’s life are extremely important. Active Parenting is a program created by Dr. Michael Popkin who is a parenting expert. The First Five Years program is a four-session class designed to help parents learn about a variety of items such as ages and stages of development, effective discipline that young children can understand, school readiness, and much more. Classes start April 24th, 2018, at the MSU/Richland County Extension Office Meeting Room, from 5:30-7:30 and are free of charge. Class size is limited, please RSVP by noon on April 24th by calling the MSU/Richland County Extension office at 433-1206
