Elk's Awards Grant to RMC EMS

Emergency medical services volunteers from Roosevelt Medical Center in Culbertson, were presented with a check for nearly $2,200 from members of the Sidney Elks Lodge #1782 on March 22, as part of the Elk's long tradition of providing grants to area rural hospitals. The funds will be used to purchase new radios for crew members to communicate with, and cot batteries to ensure patients can be transferred from the ambulance to the emergency room without staff lifting patients manually. "This grant is an excellent way for our organization to give back to the community. For a number of years, the Elk's lodges throughout the state have focused their Major Project grant giving on meeting the many needs of our area's rural hospitals," said Ryan Laqua, Elk's Trustee.
