Abbi's Unique Boutique welcomed its first customers on March 13. This delightful store, full of unique home décor items, florals and reasonably priced clothing for little girls, teens and women, is located at 121 2nd Ave., N.E. in Sidney. Montana shirts and décor as well as Sidney and regional décor items are also available.
Owner Julie Batty, who has been a business owner for most of her adult life, decided to open the store because she loves to decorate. She also added the clothing lines to offer more choices for Sidney shoppers. "I wanted a place for people to come and find fashionable décor without having to go to the city," she said. Batty and her family moved to Sidney three years ago from Utah and Julie really missed some of the stores at home so she decided to bring some of home here. The business is named after her daughter Abbi and managed by Julie's niece Raelee Henline.
Julie is married to Brandon who owns Triple B Services, named after the three Batty boys; Brendyn, Camdyn and Kayson. She commented that she really likes Sidney and the friendly and accepting people in the area. "When you have no family in the area, you find friends who become family," she said.
Abbi's Unique Boutique is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by or call them at 406-433-6219. A grand opening is planned for April 7.
