A fundraiser has been planned for Neal Stromberg and his wife Audrey, former residents of Plentywood. Neal was diagnosed with leukemia in late September and has since been undergoing treatment at the University of Minnesota. His recovery is expected to take place over the next year, or longer, and has included a recent bone marrow transplant.
The Fiesta and Fireworks fundraiser will take place on Feb. 11, at the Culbertson School cafeteria beginning at 4:30 p.m. and will include a free-will donation taco bar, silent auction and entertainment by the Midway Band, of Dagmar. At 7 p.m. there will be a fireworks display at the high school football field.
Auction items include wall hangings, home décor, baskets filled with various items and more. Attendees can also enter to win a weekend getaway for two at the Deadwood Gulch Casino, in Deadwood, S.D.
If you would like to make a donation of a silent auction item, please contact Jaimee Green at (406) 787-5394. Monetary donations can be made directly to Neal or Audrey Stromberg and mailed to First Community Bank, Attn: Stromberg P.O. Box 579, Culbertson MT 59218.
