Rodney Grant Krugler was born on February 25, 1953 to Douglas and Mary (Trotter) Krugler in Sidney, Montana. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1971 where he enjoyed success on the football team and in musical performances. Following his adventurous nature and a job opportunity, he and a friend headed to Louisiana to work in the oil and gas production field where he worked until 1997. This career took him from the Gulf of Mexico to the North Slopes of Alaska and south to Trinidad and Tobago.
Rodney was married to Penny McMorris and they had two children, Nickolas and Regina. Rodney liked being involved in his children's activities, especially sports. He was proud of their accomplishments and his son's service in the military as an Army Ranger.
In 2004 Rodney returned to Sidney and reunited with his high school sweetheart. While in the south, Rodney enjoyed deep sea fishing, but loved the Yellowstone River where he fished and hunted agates. Another passion of his was writing and art work.
Rodney died November 17 in Sidney, Montana at the age of 64.
Rodney is survived by his partner Barb Lane; his son, Nickolas (Carrie) Krugler; his daughter, Regina (Jeff) Bowling; grandchildren Ryker, Brayden and Gavin; mother, Mary Krugler; brothers, Donald (Debi) Krugler and James (Leann) Pelvit; sisters Vicki (Chalo) Castro and Colleen "Snooky" (Kevin) Topp; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rodney was preceded in death by: his grandparents Edna and Oran Krugler and Bob and Jean Trotter; his father, Douglas Krugler; and sister, Deanne Mears.
