A Homecoming Celebration for Miss America 2018, Cara Mund, will be held on November 3 in Williston and November 4 in Bismarck.
Mund, who was initially crowned Miss North Dakota 2017 in June in Williston, is the first representative from North Dakota to be crowned Miss America. She is a Bismarck native, and won the title on September 10 in Atlantic City, NJ.
The Schedule of Events for the Homecoming Celebration Is as follows:
November 3 in Williston, ND:
The Introduction of Miss America 2018 Cara Mund and Coronation of Miss North Dakota 2017, Lizzie Jensen will take place at 6 p.m. at the Bakken Auditorium.
Immediately following this ceremony, at 7:30 p.m., a Public Reception will be held in the Phil Jackson Fieldhouse.
Tickets for this event are $10 for Adults and $5 for Students. Attendees may choose to attend one or both of the events listed above. Tickets can be purchased online at missnorthdakota.org, in person at the Williston Visitor's Center, or at the event.
November 4 in Bismarck, ND:
A Welcome Home Party sponsored by Dakota Community Bank & Trust will be held at the Bismarck Event Center at 3 p.m. for Miss America 2018 Cara Mund.
Tickets for this event are $10 for Adults and $5 for Students. They may be purchased online by visiting missnorthdakota.org, in person at the Bismarck Event Center, or at the event.
Other guests expected to be recognized or perform at Homecoming Events will be Miss America's Outstanding Teen, Jessica Baeder, Runners Up from the Miss America Competition, including Miss Missouri, Miss New Jersey, Miss District of Columbia, and Miss Texas, along with Miss North Dakota 2017 Lizzie Jensen, Miss North Dakota's Outstanding Teen 2017, Sydney Helgeson and other state representatives. State and Local Officials, and Forever Miss North Dakotas will also be in attendance.
